Tribute to My Cousin

On September 14th, Heaven received an angel early.  Roni was my cousin, but more than that, she was my teacher and my sister.  I have so many memories growing up together. We were always laughing, sometimes so much we'd fall on the floor crying. Our moms were always rolling their eyes asking why we were always giggling, everything was funny to us at that age. As kids, she was always the teacher when we played school, Vanessa and I were the students. She taught us so many things growing up, how to be a strong person, how to stick up for ourselves and to never give up. One of my favorite memories was when she started middle school, Vanessa and I wanted to know so badly what was making her so cool, and what was so important that she had to write it down. We hatched the master plan to break into her diary. When picking the lock didn't work like how it did in the movies, we gave up and just cut the sides with some scissors! We were desperate. She was so mad at us but eventually forgave us. Another memory was when the moms went to the store and me and Roni spent the entire time teaching little Gabby how to walk, it was so funny when they came home and opened the door she was walking around. She was the best sister. There are so many precious memories, these are just a few that make me smile.  I believe growing up Roni taught me how to be a good mommy even though she was so young, I saw through her from the very start to put your baby first. She was an awesome mom and I saw all the time how Vicki was first for her and how she was the light of her life, her joy.

Roni, I will forever miss those late nights giggling and talking into the night just you, me and Vanessa, I will forever miss dancing and singing in your room we were going to be so famous. Thank you for everything you were to me, for the love and joy you brought into my life.

2 Cor 4:18~So we don't look at the troubles we can see now but fix our gaze on the things that are unseen for the things seen now will soon be gone but the things unseen are eternal.

It's so hard to be here without you but my hope is in seeing you again. Heaven is brighter with you there and I can't wait to sing and dance together when we meet again. I'll love you always

Love, Nadia
