My sister, my friend. I never thought those four words would ever break my heart. She was just as much my best friend as she was my sister. When I wanted to quit school, she talked me out of it. When I wanted to run away from home, she opened up her doors. When I had to take 10 history exams in one night, she stayed up and helped me finish them. She helped to raise me into the person I am today. She was my rock for so long and I will always love her.
"To me you are an angel in disguise.
Full of intuition, you are intelligent and wise.
Always giving and helping through
Good times and bad.
You are the best friend I've ever had.
If I had one wish, it would surely be
To give you as much as you've given to me.
Though I've put our relationship through some cloudy days,
You've been my sunshine in so many ways.
Through trials and tests, right by me
You stood,
And you gave me your hand whenever you could.
Thank you so much, my sister, my friend.
My gratitude for you has no end."
My sister fought for everything she had in life. When life didn’t go as she had planned, she figured out a different path to achieve her goals. She not only raised her daughter while attending college and working full time, she also went out of her way to help me when I needed it most. She was such an incredible person, with an incredible heart. The last few years had been incredibly hard on her. Her battle with Lupus was extremely tough as her body began to betray her strong will. I am so grateful that she is no longer in any pain. I will always love my sister, my friend and I know that even now she is still doing everything in her power from above and looking out for me.
