Obituary for
Charles Arthur Burnett
Charlie Burnett, 67, of Humble, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Monday, October 31, 2022.
Charlie, an only child, was born on March 5, 1955, in Roseville, MI to Herbert and Rose (Murray) Burnett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl (Dewar) Burnett; his sons Matt (Jim) Shead of Austin, TX; Chris (Ashley) Burnett of Huffman, TX, and his mother, Rose of Humble.
He was the best Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Hannah Burnett and Jason and Kevin Shead.
Also mourning his passing are his sister-in-law Candy (Paul) Demianenko of Sterling Heights, MI; his brother-in-law, Dr. Bill Dewar (Susan) of Calais, Maine; brother-in-law, Karl Keene (Kathleen) of Moorhead, MN; and his brother from another mother, Guy Accivatti, of New Baltimore, MI.
Charlie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and the many friends he made through his work life, volunteer life, and his hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Charles Burnett; his daughter, Emily Rose Burnett; and his in-laws, Bill Dewar, Doris Martin, and Carl Martin.
Charlie retired from Webber, LLC in 2009, and has enjoyed the last thirteen years doing mission work, volunteering at his church and in prison, and practicing his hobby of watch repair.
