Click here to view all obituariesI'll always remember Bob by his smile, kindness and humor every Thanksgiving that David, Michael and I spent at his and Aunt Margie's home and others' homes. I admired his strength in character, and his appreciation of life and his belief that one makes their own happiness. He was rich in family who showered their love upon him, and that no doubt helped to elongate his life to a ripe 98 years. Bob was 6-1/2 years old during the 1929 Depression---undoubtedly instilling the tenacity to see things through, and forging a faith within that carried him through tough times, coupled with his religious invincibility. And another of many milestones, after WWII, he married the love of his life,, Margie, a testament of 66 years who was one of the sweetest and generous ladies that I've ever known. So loving and generous in his willingness to please was when I needed to replace my condo carpet, Bob found a good deal for David and I. Bob's precise measuremnts allowed the scraps to fill only one garbage bag.. Waste Not -- Want Not. Another Depression exemplar of appreciating all that God bestows.
We'll always remember his love.
