Esther Ruth Parker, born on January 31st 1938 in Onalaska, Texas to Dorothy Mae Smith and Lorrie Dow Smith. She was delivered by a midwife at 2:28 pm

She married Barney Gene Dawson at the age of 17 in 1954. Her parents had to sign for her to get marry.

In 1955 they had their first daughter Debbie Ruth Dawson. In 1960 they had a second daughter Lisa Jeanette Dawson. In 1962 they had their third daughter Lori Jean Dawson.

She had three children and needed to get her GED so she can get a job with the City of Houston. She worked there for 25 years before retiring.

She moved back to her hometown to enjoy boating, fishing and relaxing with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
