Obituary for
Neva Reeves (Davidson)
Neva Fay Davidson Reeves was born in Carthage, Texas, on April 27, 1939 and passed away on November 25, 2023. She was 84. She was a wonderful loving Mom. Neva graduated from Carthage High School where she was in the band. She then graduated from Panola Junior College. She married John Rex Reeves in 1961. In 1968 she moved with her family to Houston, where she raised her two boys, Scott and Jim. She was a Little League baseball Mom and score keeper. In 1973 she became the Principal’s secretary at Stephens Elementary in Aldine for 30 years. Upon retiring, Neva toured the world with her husband John Rex, supporting her husband’s musical career. This included a Branson show in Branson Mo. She greeted fans and was in charge of cd sales. John Rex was on the national tv show, Midwest Country, for 6 years, where she was in charge of cd sales and interacted with fans. They sold thousands of cds. But where Neva excelled was as a Mother. She was loving and supportive. She never said no to her sons, driving them to sports and theatre events and attending all of the events. She is preceded in death by John Rex and her parents, Ruben and Ruby. She is survived by her two sons, Scott and Jim, her daughter in law, Adriana, two grandchildren, Melissa and Travis, her sister, Joy, and more family members. We loved her bunches. She was a beautiful lady and very loving and even tempered. We will miss her and one day join her in heaven. She was classy and the best Mom in the world.
