Obituary for
Bonnie Wynelle Hampton (Williams)
Bonnie Wynelle Williams Hampton is resting in eternal peace. She passed away at home with her family by her side on July 3, 2023. Even at 88 years of age, her passing stunned everyone who knew and loved her. She was born in Prairie Grove, AR on June 26, 1935 to Wesley and Ruby Williams. She grew up on a family farm in Fayetteville, AR and moved to Wichita, KS after her first son, James (Mike) was born. There she met her husband, Don, and welcomed Robert (Bobby) and Shannon to their family. They moved to Houston, TX in 1970 and remained there until her death. In addition to raising three children, serving the Lord and her church was an important part of her life. Many people have fond memories of her as their Sunday school teacher at Mt. Houston Pentecostal Church or their school teacher at Mt Houston Christian Academy, while others enjoyed seeing her give smiles and warm greetings as a pharmacy technician for 30 years at Thrifty Pharmacy in Humble, TX. The rest of us were blessed to have her as a wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, in-law, neighbor, or friend. Bonnie Wynelle joins many family members and friends in heaven but most importantly, her son, Bobby, her parents, sister, Margaret McLain, and daughter, Darlene Maxfield. She is already missed dearly by her husband of 65 years, Don, son Mike Hampton and daughters, Shannon Hampton, Colleen Brown and Dawn Aloha Baxter, as well as many grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren.
