Patricia Lynn Pruitt (Barfield)
Patricia Lynn Pruitt (Pat) was born on November 16, 1952 in Baytown, Texas at San Jacinto Hospital. She attended high school at Ross S. Sterling and was on the drill team as a Sterling Star. She earned her bachelor's degree in teaching at the University of Houston.
Pat taught in the Pasadena school district. She was adored by her students. Pat had a very strong relationship with the Lord and through her years of teaching and being a Christian her light from the Lord would shine upon her students and everyone around her.
Pat was baptized when she was ten years old at First Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas. She sang in the choir and also went as a volunteer to Christian summer camp at Glorieta Adventure Camps in Glorieta, New Mexico. Pat and her husband Tracy attended church at Monument Baptist Church for the last decade. During that time Pat started a Card Ministry where she would send wellness cards for support and love to those experiencing difficult times. She also loved to knit and made knitted blankets for all her family and friends. When around Pat you always felt welcomed and loved. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and a laugh that was contagious. She loved make-up and clothes and all the things that made her pretty. She was beautiful on the inside and out. She always lit up the room.
Survived by her husband Tracy Pruitt; son Andy Jolley; daughter Katie Morrow and her husband Joe Morrow; stepson Jared Pruitt; stepdaughter Evan Scott and her husband James Scott; grandchildren Lorynn Magee, Kyndal Magee, Jackson Jolley, Emmy Jolley; step-grandchildren Brandon Robenson, Channing Scott, Zoey Tipton, Joseph Fonda, Dante Pruitt, and Virgil Pruitt; siblings Ronnie Barfield, Beverly Ford, and Marilyn Kusy and many nieces, nephews and family members who will love and cherish her memory.
She is predeceased by her parents Harold Barfield and Mattie Barfield, and stepdaughter Stacy Pruitt.
Viewing will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas on May 25. 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas on May 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment services will follow at our family cemetery; Thornton Cemetery in Groveton, Texas.
Pat will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
