Obituary for
Nita Lorene Whitehouse
Nita Lorene Snider Whitehouse, 64, of Spring, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2023. She was born on February 4, 1959, in Houston to the late W.J. and Billie Snider. Nita was a 911 dispatcher for over 30 years. She truly had a calling for this line of work, and she was very proud of the work she did.
Nita was married to Mark Whitehouse, someone she had known since school age, rejoined 40 years later, married on October 10, 2020, and continued their love story until the end. She loved her savior, Jesus Christ, and her family first and foremost. She enjoyed bingo, poker, telling jokes, dancing, music, living in the moment and the company of her friends and family. She loved nothing more than to be there for her one and only son, William “Joey” Palmer, her angel baby as she called him, and her daughter-in-“love”, Emily, her grandbabies and her great grandbabies. Joey was the light of Nita’s life. She had a bond like no other with her son. He was the light in her eyes and the beat in her heart. She left this world letting him know just how much he meant to her and how much love she had for him. She is now his Angel still loving and watching over him until they meet again.
The family of Nita would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her sisters and brothers, “sister” cousins, Cindy and Susie, and her niece, Kim. Our hearts are truly overfilled with the love and support that each and every one of you have shown.
