Dale Baker presented himself as God.   I have no animosity now, but I remeber his punishments for Christian athletes who went to Summer Camp and came in late for fall camp.  He was no saint.  He often chided athletes who took a stand for honesty and ethics, and sided for those that broke the law, but had athletic prowess.  Dale Baker was a low life.  He sacrificed his ethics for success, and achieved neither.  I loved Bart and Leigh, and especially Carole, but Dale is no person I would ever remember fondly.  After 40 years, I think he is still one of the worst influences I ever had.  Fortunately, I found greater ones.  It wouldn't have taken a great effort to do it.
