Al Greene
Billy Kea Davis was one of 36 grandchildren of Levi Holcomb and Marcella Morgan Pearce of Magnolia, Arkansas. I am one of them. I refer to that group as ‘The Cousins.’
My Mother was Holland Pearce Greene and my Dad was Lake Greene. My Mother and Billy’s Mother were sisters.
Billy served in WWII in the United States Army Air Corps. I don’t have the date he entered service, but he was young. His older brothers Levi & Henry Davis also served in WW II.
Eight, perhaps nine, of the Cousins served in WW II. All of them returned home after the War with all of their parts.
I remember Billy when he came back from the War wearing his Army uniform. I am 8 years younger than Billy and I really looked up to him.
His parents had a farm in Magnolia, Arkansas, where Billy was raised, and their house was the scene of many watermelon parties, especially during Pearce Family reunions.
Billy lived close to his God and witnessed his living faith in all that he did.
My life is better for having Billy Kea Davis as a first cousin.
