Condolence: I met Diane thru my dear friend, Troy Gardner, her son. She was such a beautiful lady. I loved her hair. I enjoyed talking with her every time I saw her.
To her sister and family, I want to tell you that in the time where she was no longer at home and was in nursing homes and the hospital, her son, Troy, would go to see her all the time. He tried to go every other day, even when she wasn't talking and didn't really seem to know he was there. Sometimes she would "wake up" and she would see him and tell him "I love you". When she was first in the hospitals, she told him "Don't forget me". And he made sure she didn't feel like he might have. This was happening during the pandemic so he wasn't able to take flowers or gifts into her rooms but he made sure that she could see them through the windows where they would visit. Her on one side, Troy on the outside. Roses and balloons. He loved (loves) her very much.
I hope u find some comfort by this.
He very much wanted to be there at her memorial but could not leave his father, who is in failing health, alone.
Please accept my prayers and condolences at this difficult time. She was such a lovely person and will be missed so much.
