Obituary for
Denny Ray Stevens
Denny Ray Stevens. Born July 18, 1959 in Oklahoma City, OK. Grew up in Humble, TX since the age of 10.
Attended Humble Middle School and Humble High School. He played basketball and Tennis.
He attended Stephen F. Austin University. He Started Forest Cove’s first “Boy Band” wearing white pants and pink button-down shirts. Very cool!
He attended Forest Cove Baptist Church. And worked for ADP for 19 years.
What Denny cherished more than anything was FAMILY and good friends. He loved family holidays and family birthdays. He adored his two granddaughters McKinley and Addison. And could not wait to greet the 2 grandchildren on the way. One being another Stevens carrying out his legacy.
Denny was gregarious. He never met a stranger. He loved to converse—all day if you had the time. He loved to laugh a deep belly laugh. A charmer sometimes crossing into flirty depending on your gender. He was excellent in keeping in touch with immediate family and family you often don’t see other than weddings and funerals. He also kept in touch with his many friends. He was good natured and funny.
He loved the beach where his infamous Ray-Bans came in handy.
Denny considered himself country (and a little bit of rock and roll). Certifying that title with: loving country music, wearing his favorite hat a black Stetson and 30 pairs of country western boots. And oh could he two step!
Denny had a large heart to hold a lot of love! Loved a good joke or story and told them as well. He never had a bad day even when he was in the fight for his life.
If you’re reading this program…you must know he loved you too.
Rest in peace Son, Brother, Father, Grandpa, Uncle and friend.
We look forward to the days upon thinking of you when the tears will be replaced with a smile, twinkle in the eye and a chuckle. That’s what Denny would have wanted. A celebration of his life.
