Maria Olaya Lopez, 95, a native of Brownsville, Texas, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, peacefully entered into rest at home on April 27, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Niceforo and Emilia Anzaldua, and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Alicia (Vincent) Lee, Rosalinda Guajardo, Belinda (Joe) Cannaday, one son Lionel (Gloria) Guajardo, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was a selfless mother and grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own needs.

God blessed us with the best example of what love, forgiveness, and mercy could be. We will always carry that love in our hearts and memories.
