Doris Iris Gutierrez Perez died peacefully in Kingwood, TX on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in her home at the age of 62.
Doris is survived by her husband, Lino Perez; her son Robert Perez and his wife Melissa and their three sons, Tristan, Jacob, & Matthew; her son George Perez and his wife Heather and their two children, Hayden & Sophia; sisters, Leticia Sanchez (Angleton, TX), Guadalupe Gutierrez-Garza (Harlingen, TX) & Graciela Gutierrez (Harlingen, TX). She is preceded in death by her father, George Gutierrez; her mother, Graciela Gutierrez; her brother, George Gutierrez, Jr.
Doris was born on December 29, 1957 in Harlingen, TX to George & Graciela Gutierrez. She graduated from Harlingen High School in 1976. She married Lino; Salesman in 1979. She began working as a Hotel Manager and did so for over 30 years. Throughout their 42 years of marriage, the couple welcomed 2 children into their home where they raised their family in Harlingen. Her children remember her as a kind, intelligent, giving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Doris was a dedicated individual who loved life and who was passionate about her grandchildren. So much so, she retired early and moved to Houston to help raise and care for them.
As per her wishes, a memorial is scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Rosewood Funeral
17404 West Lake Houston Pkwy, Humble, TX77346, with a reception to follow at 3619 Highland Lakes Dr, Kingwood, TX. Mr. Armando Villa will officiate the ceremony.
