Condolence: So sorry to hear about Ramsey. We rode together at NE HPD 40 years ago when we were both just rookies. It was a pleasure to ride with him and an honor to know him.
Prayers for peace and comfort to the family.

Condolence: Condolences and prayers to the Velez family. Met and worked with Ramsey when assigned to NE nights as a rookie. I remember Ram as a solid, thoughtful officer with great wit and humor. We had some lively times working together. Peace be with the Velez family during this difficult time.

Condolence From: Irene Gonzalez Griffith
Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Velez Family. I always enjoyed Ramsey's conversations and generosity. He doesn't remember sitting in Home Room with me in Mac Arthur high, but I do. He was always pleasant and full of life. I always viewed him as one of my brothers because he was so close to my older brother. I was saddened to hear that I will not be able to hear any more of his stories. He will be missed, but always remembered. Go with God and know that you, Ramsey, were dear to us all.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to Mary and the Velez family. When I heard of Ramsey's passing I thought that it wasn't true. Unfortunately, it was. He was a fellow sergeant when we worked together at the Northeast Substation. One thing about Ramsey, he never lacked for conversation. He enjoyed talking about anything and everything. We used to play golf together at different golf courses and talk along the way. Of course, we never broke 100. But we didn't care. We were out there to have fun. He was also very generous. One time he donated forty hours of his comp time to an officer so he could continue to receive his pay. That's the kind of person he was. I will miss our time together. Rest In Peace, Ramsey. One day we will see each other again.
