Obituary for
Wallace Arva Middleton
Wallace Arva Middleton, 59 years of age, resident of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord for final roll call on May 11, 2020.
Wallace was born on May 16,1960 in Houston, Texas, son of Jack and Pat Middleton and was youngest of seven siblings. Although he was the smallest, he did all he could to stay up with his brothers and sisters.
Wallace lived a life of service. As soon as he was old enough he joined the police academy. He was a police officer for Humble Police for 20 years, before joining the Humble ISD Police force. After 10 years, he retired, but wasn’t done yet. He then went on to work for the Texas Medical Center. He wore many hats there: working as security, member of bike patrol and office manager. One of the highlights of being at the Medical Center, was he participated in the Blue Santa program. Over the years, they had to add more stuffing to his suit, but seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces was one of his favorite days of the year.
Wallace was fixture in Humble, Texas. He never met a stranger, and always had a story to share. You could always find him at the Humble Inn restaurant. If he wasn’t up front with a tall cup of coffee, he was in the back lending a hand in the kitchen. He also met his wife, Sara, of 12 years there as well.
Sunday afternoons in the Middleton household always meant one thing: NASCAR Race Day. You could always hear him cheering for, or the occasional yelling at, the #11 FedEx car. He also enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and Boy Scout camping trips were also some of his favorite things to do.
He was a Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend and will be greatly missed.
“Blessed are the peacekeepers, for they will be called children of God.” –Matthew 5:9
