The curtain to the stage of life opened for De' Nerek Dwayne (DJones/ Deekie) Jones on December 31, 1992 in Channelview, TX to Mary M. Prater and Zachary E. Jones, Sr.

Over the 26 years, he had a high impact on family, friends, and strangers with acts of kindness, encouragement, and unconditional love, On October 12, 2019 at UTMB of Galveston, TX, he exited the stage with death due to complications to Scleroderma and closed this earthly life and opened the door to an eternal tomorrow.

De'Nerek was a member of Laura Koppe Church of Christ as a young boy and continued to worship at various congregations throughout his lifetime. He graduated from C. E. King High School within Sheldon ISD where he met his high school sweetheart / finance Monique Juanita Davalos. Within this love connection God blessed him with a beautiful daughter Alicia Kay- Marie Jones. Immediately after high school he attended San
Jacinto College. He then attended Swift Truck Driving School where he earned his CDL license and continued his career as a truck driver until his late illness.

De' Nerek leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving mother and father Mary and James Prater of Humble, TX. His father Zachary, Sr and Ora Jones of Houston, TX. His grandparents Claudia and Floyd Jones. His darling Fiancé Monique Davalos and daughter Alicia Kay- Marie Jones of Houston, TX. He leaves his siblings: Whittney Williams (Craig) of San Antonio, TX; Zachary Jones, Jr. (Dymonique) of Houston, TX; Brittney Jones (Innis) Humble, TX; Brittney Prater, Jasmine Prater, Jasmine Wilson, MiKhail Wilson (Courtney), Jazaria Jones, and Zavion Jones all of Houston, TX. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers the late Gloria Lee Washington and Ella Mae Ceasar Prater, grandfather Willie Lee Washington, great grandmother Bernice Harris, and a aunt Ramonh Seymour.
