The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mildred Harvey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Life Story for Mildred Irene Harvey (Eason)

Mildred Irene Harvey (Eason)
I was born May 12, 1933 in the rural area of Childress, TX. Today, August 31, 2019 you can find me at the feet of my redeemer. I was born again at the age of 10. This was the greatest time of my life, when I fell in love with Jesus. At that time I became a member of North Central Baptist Church in Houston and I have been a Baptist, by personal conviction, ever since. I like to say I am a Baptist to the bone.

My first love is my Lord. I believe the bible has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter, and that ALL Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.
My parents were Robert Lee Eason, Sr. and Bertha Irene Edwards Eason, both deceased. My loving husband Tom and daughter Julia Gaye Pyron, Christie Pyron and four brothers, Edward Lee, Clyde Houston, Johnny Thomas and K. T. Eason all deceased.
I am survived by my son Edward Harvey and wife Kathy Goff Harvey, brother Robert Eason and wife Susan Eason. Grandchildren: David Harvey, Misty Davis, Michael Harvey, Tami Combs, and Jonathan Pyron. Great-grandchildren: Chandlar, Chasity, Colbie Harvey, Clayton Dowdy, Addison and Ayden Combs, Noah and Henry Harvey and Julia Pyron, two great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and a nephew.

I have never felt I measured up to Christ as I wanted to. I made many errors in this worldly life which I deeply regret, but I always loved the Lord and He always forgave and sustained me. I was deeply blessed to have a special, loving husband and family. However, I will never apologize for all the times I nagged my grandchildren to live Godly lives. They know I sometimes went about it the wrong way, my way, and caused them to become angry with me. However, I believe they know how very much I love them.

When I was younger I enjoyed working with children in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and GA’s. I also enjoyed being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

I am most patriotic! I love my country and honor its flag. The Star Spangled Banner never ceased to bring tears to my eyes or a lump in my throat. I also love football, “Go Texans”.

During the years I traced ancestors and found I could join several organizations. I am a life member of Magna Charta Dames and Barons, life member of the Jamestown Society, member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, United States Daughters of 1812, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Most importantly I was a Christian and I have been blessed beyond measure and have been truly loved. I owe it all to Christ.
