Obituary for Collen Matthew Skelly

Collen Matthew Skelly
Collen Matthew Skelly's Life Story

Collen Matthew Skelly was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, March 31, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in his home town of Huffman, Texas. He was born on August 16, 1996, one minute behind his twin brother, Darren. He attended Clear Creek High School in League City and Hargrave High School in Huffman where he graduated in 2015 - again with his twin brother by his side.

He was currently working his way up in the refinery industry, employed by SET Environmental, Inc working at Flint Hills. Some of his passions and favorite pass times included playing football, fishing, video games, and finding any excuse to spend quality time with his friends and family. Collen was also a talented artist and had a deep faith for the Lord.

He is survived by his parents Mike and Shantell Skelly of Huffman; his older sister Cassie of Houston, older brother Austin US Coast Guard active duty in Pensacola, FL, his twin brother Darren US Army Veteran, and younger brother Braeden both of Huffman, and brother Koty of Spring. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Mike and Cindy Dion, and his paternal grandparents, Darrell and Lynn Pena, all of Huffman. Collen is also survived by an abundance of close friends and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who reside across Texas and Louisiana.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Rosewood funeral home in Humble, TX
Public viewing will be held between 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, April 5th. Funeral service begins at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 6th. Both services will be held at the same location.

Collen certainly had a spirit that radiated unconditional love and pure joy to all who have ever met him as he was a stranger to no one. He will be deeply missed by everyone who has been touched by his beautiful soul.
