Obituary for Troy Edward Potts Sr.

Troy Edward Potts Sr.
1961-2018

Troy Edward Potts Sr. passed away peacefully on December 6, 2018 while surrounded by his family. Family meant a great deal to Troy, and he believed that it was something you created when you surrounded yourself with people you love. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and a dedicated husband. Troy took great pleasure in simple delights. He loved being outside, walking his dogs, riding bikes, fishing, vacationing to new places, and going to Texan football games. He lost his battle with cancer, but he was sustained to the end by the love of those fortunate enough to share his life.

Troy was preceded in death by his father Maxey Potts. He is survived by his mother Nancy Potts; wife Rhonda Potts; son Troy Potts Jr. and wife Gabriela Potts; daughters Whitney Rich and husband Justin Rich; Kari Zahar; Angela Toledo and husband Vicente Toledo. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Haydn Rich, Ethan Rich, Samuel Rich, Alexandra Curtis, Adrianna Toledo, and Victoria Toledo; as well as his siblings Maxey Potts Jr, Daryl Potts, and Kiffin Brown.

The family would like to express our gratitude to Houston Hospice for such gentle care. In lieu of flowers please donate to Houston Hospice’s nonprofit so they may continue the lovely work helping families.

A memorial for Troy Potts is being held Sunday December 9th, 2018 @ 2pm at the Rosewood Funeral Home, 22271 US HWY 59N, Porter, TX 77365.
