Edna Mae Cook Broughton, 91, born July 13, 1924, in Neches, Texas to Walter Leroy Cook and Ida Charlotte Cook went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 26, 2015, with her beloved husband of 69 years by her side.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Broughton; by her sons, Larry Broughton and life partner Bob Anastasia; Dennis Broughton and family; by her daughter, Bev Hancock and husband Hubert “Doody” Hancock; by her grandchildren, Ryan, Lance, Tyler, Benjamin, and Catherine, and by many loving family and friends.
She loved and enjoyed counted cross-stitching, cooking, baking, and entertaining her family and friends. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church in Pasadena, and most recently was a member of South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at Rosewood Funeral Home, 3939 Pasadena Blvd., Pasadena, Texas 77503. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, in the Rosewood Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., at Roselawn Cemetery, in Palestine, Texas.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
