Sandra R Jackson (Zdan)
Sandra Jackson "Sandy" of Porter, Texas, beloved mama and granny passed on from this life on Saturday,
January 29, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born on August 9, 1942 in Mount Enterprise, Texas to
Pauline Easley. She was an only child.
She leaves behind son Ike Jackson and wife Liz, daughter Diane Jackson Schubert and husband Tommy,
and daughter Pam Jackson Kirk.
Grandchildren, Little Ike, Skunk, Travis, Tanya, Justin, Ethan, Dalton, Sarah, Meagan, and Lindsey.
Sixteen great grand-children, as well as many neices, nephews and countless other family members and friends.
And let's not forget her beloved fur-baby Jessie.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband "Big" Ike Jackson, her son Claude Jackson,
and her mother Pauline Easley Brandon.
Sandy attended Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas. Shortly after graduation she married
the love of her life and had four children; Little Ike, Claude, Diane, and Pam.
Together, Sandy and Ike started the land clearing business, Ike Jackson & Sons Inc., that would continue
to prosper for the following thirty years.
When the children were young, Sandy stayed busy with the PTA, field trips, Astroworld, the zoo, many
trips to the "Honda Shop" and anything fun to entertain her kids. Later, there were numerous eventful trips
to Colorado snow skiing. Dancing, gardening and hanging out at the pool with family and friends were
always some her favorite pastimes. Sandy loved spending time with the grand children and great grand children. They were her sunshine!
After the death of her husband, Sandy spent 29 years as a member, secretary and then president
of the Wild Catter Squares, square dance club, where she met so many great friends.
She will be forever be loved and greatly missed by all those closest to her and the many lives she touched.
There will be a reception (dinner) after the burial service at Pam Kirk's house. 24055 Briar Thicket Drive,
