Nancy was a generous, kind distinguished lady. I have fond memories of her son John"s wedding at First Presbyterian Church of Houston, as well as memories of pipe organ music we both loved at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood. I'll never forget the book of Christmas Carols she gave me, which I still used today! Heaven is now a little bit better now that Nancy is there!
You can truly tell a tree by the fruit it bears. I will always remember Mrs. Reed for her warm and caring personality. Especially, when it came to her dear son and my friend, Reed. Although, I was deeply saddened to learn of her passing on Friday; my heart became glad to know she is safe in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Therefore, she will never be away from John, but will always be in his heart and mind to guide every thought, decision, and be an ever-present comforter. Nonetheless, I will miss the soft-spoken greeting I received each time I came into her presence. Though she was soft spoken, the message of love she often shared echoed volumes. John, there is not a word I can say or a hug I can give to stop your pain. However, I can commit to being the friend I promised your mother I’d be. My family and I will continue to pray for you as you find your way through this difficult time. Know that we, The Sims family love you and will always be here for whatever you may need.
