Obituary for
Nancy Kay McMahan (Webb)
Nancy Kay Webb was born to Jesse Webb and Melanie Bittner on December 14, 1941 in Bastrop, Texas. Nancy was the youngest child of three; her sister Dorothy was the oldest child by 12 years and George followed 2 years later. The family stayed close to the Austin/Smithville area until Nancy married Roy Dahlstrom in 1961 and moved to Houston. They had a son, Ronald in June 1963, followed by 2 daughters, Sandra in 1965 and Elizabeth in 1967.
Eventually Nancy became a single mother and was able to provide for her children by working in the Oil and Gas industry through the ‘80s and ‘90s. She met and married Michael McMahan during this period as well. Sadly Mike passed away in 1998, followed by her son Ronald in 2001. By 2003, Nancy retired and became a full time grandmother to Scott Carter II, James Michka, Shane Carter, Randy Michka, Kyle Michka, Alicia Mason, Robert Mason Jr, Travis Magee and Derek Magee. Most recently she added Tyler Oaks, Emily and Alyssa Oaks with great-granddaughters Aubry Prescott and Penelope Michka.
In 2005, Nancy left Humble to retire to the country on a farm in New Waverly with her youngest daughter and family, while enjoying “shared custody” visits with Sandra and her family back in Humble. While at the farm, Nancy enjoyed watching the antics of the multitude of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and the occasional goat and donkey. Nancy was known to be generous in her nature and in her hugs. She will be sorely missed by all who came to know her and call her Nancy, Mom and Grandma. As an ending note, the shared custody of Nancy will continue between Sandra and Beth.
