Baby Cole meets Mr. Don

When we brought baby Cole home for the first time from the hospital Mr. Don or papa Don (as Cole always called him), was standing in his yard and was the first friend to greet him outside the hospital. Mr. Don was a big part of Coles everyday life, as well as ours. As Cole got older, we would come home from town and he would get so excited to see Mr. Don outside that he would run over to him and hug him and tell him about his day. Mr. Don never missed one of Coles birthday parties. Mr. Don always got cole a gift on his birthday and Christmas as well as getting him something special for Halloween when Cole would come see him trick-or-treating. Cole used to play with Mr. Dons multi/colored Jenga blocks and thought they were so cool. For Coles last birthday in May, Mr. Don looked for Cole some multi-colored Jenga blocks but couldn't find any so he bought regular wooden blocks and switched his colored ones so Cole could have them. Don Blakey was a big part of our lives and we will miss him dearly. This is only goodbye for now, til we shall meet again, neighbor!
