Cpl Cody Hall Searway, USMC, passed away suddenly, March 7, 2009 in El Centro, CA. He was born April 23, 1987 in South Portland, ME to Maureen(Cody) and Rick Searway, who survive him. Cody is also survived by his wife, Crisanta Elizondo Searway; brothers, Spencer and Remick Searway; grandparents, Peggy (Skiles) Cody of St. Louis, MO and Nelson and Eleanor(Hall) Searway of Cape Elizabeth, ME; in-laws, Jose and Teresa Elizondo, brother-in-law, Joshua Elizondo, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cody is a graduate from Humble High School class of 2005. After graduation Cody served our country in the United States Marine Corps. with one tour of duty in Iraq as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. March 18, 2009, at Rosewood Funeral Home, Humble, TX. with a rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. March19 ,2009, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Houston National VA Cemetery.
