Carol Nettles Hurtt, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, passed away surrounded by loved ones and cherished memories on Friday, November 3rd 2023. Carol’s life was a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Born to Alton Lee Nettles and Letha Hartless Nettles, Carol grew up with her siblings Zo, MaryAnn, A.L., and Danny.
Carol found her soulmate in Phillip Charles Hurtt, and together they built a life filled with love and joy. Their union blessed them with two children, Phillip Dean and Sharla Lavon. Tragically, Carol endured the heartbreaking loss of her son Phillip Dean Hurtt, her grandson Felipe Dean Lazcano, and her husband Phillip Charles Hurtt. Her resilience in the face of such loss was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Through all these challenges, her spirit remained unbroken, embodying the warmth and nurturing essence of her family and sharing it with everyone who knew her.
Carol’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Sharla Lavon Lazcano, and her beloved grandchildren, Jessica Lavon Eiche, Kyla Nichole Lazcano, and Laura Margarita Lazcano. She also had the joy of knowing her great granddaughter, Riley Jean Eiche.Carol’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, loss and enduring strength.
