Obituary for Richard Allen Knighten

In Loving Memory of Richard Allen Knighten (11/26/62 - 5/27/23)

Richard Allen Knighten, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2023, at the age of 60. Born on November 26, 1962, he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Richard shared 30 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Deanna Knighten. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and companionship, and their journey together was marked by unwavering support and mutual respect.

Richard's love extended to his four children, Allen Knighten and partner Patricia Flanery, David Knighten and wife Brittany, Danielle Jackson and husband Clayton, Heather Hebert and partner Wayne Burke. He was a guiding force in their lives, always offering his wisdom and encouragement as they pursued their dreams.

Being a grandfather brought immense joy to Richard's heart. He treasured his five grandchildren, Alexis Knighten, David Knighten Jr., Hailee Hebert, Trey Hebert, and Crockett Jackson. Their laughter and presence filled his life with immeasurable happiness.

Richard's family was not limited to his immediate relatives. He was survived by his loving mother, Betty Grice, whose unwavering support nurtured him throughout his life. His brother, Tony Allwright, held a special place in Richard's heart, and their bond remained unbreakable.

Richard is also survived by his brother Frank Knighten and wife Linda, his loving mother and father in law Gail and Joe Wolf, brother in laws Darren Wolf and Joe Wolf Jr, sister in law Tammy Ford and husband Waldo and also countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nature was Richard's sanctuary. He found solace in camping and fishing, appreciating the serenity and beauty of the great outdoors. These activities allowed him to connect with the world around him, leaving him with a sense of peace and tranquility.

Richard's favorite show, "Walker Texas Ranger," served as a source of inspiration for him. He admired the character's unwavering dedication to justice and strong moral compass. The show reminded Richard of the importance of integrity and standing up for what is right.

Richard Allen Knighten will forever be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and profound love for his family. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so wholeheartedly shared.
