Jacqueline Denise Bennett (Jenkins)
Jacqueline Denise Bennett (Jenkins), 61, of Humble, TX , entered the gates of Heaven peacefully at home on January 27, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She fought a brave battle against an extremely aggressive cancer but ultimately the Lord called her home.
Jackie was born on November 1, 1961, to James Patrick and Brenda Lou in Houston, Texas. She graduated from C.E King High School, class of 1980.
Jackie committed much of her time to the family business, but she always made time to enjoy life. She loved spending time with family and friends, hosting get togethers, decorating for Christmas, the beach, cooking, watching football and the occasional friendly wager . Jackie was most often dressed in her signature outfit of jean shorts, sandals, baseball hats and designer sunglasses.
Jackie was known for her kindness and compassion, her work ethic, and her unwavering adoration for her family. Jackie's commitment to filling so many needs in the lives of her friends and family is something that cannot be quantified. Anyone who knew Jackie would describe her as a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and the perfect “Mimi”. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She was a dedicated member of her church and never missed an opportunity to share God’s word. She was an inspiration to so many and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
She is survived by her husband Christopher Bennett, her father James Patrick Jenkins and wife Carole, brother John Patrick Jenkins and Heather Sanborn, brother James Brandon and wife Sarena Jenkins. Her children Glenda Borne, Amanda Hayes and husband Delton, and James Clayton Wooley and wife Nicole. Her stepchildren Colton Bennett and Jessica Kuykendall, Chase Bennett and wife Daisy, and Sheldon Bennett. Her grandchildren Matthew Vinson, Charles Borne, Lylah Bennett, Margaret Wooley, Lainey Bennett, and John David Wooley. As well as her beloved nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother Brenda, her late husband John, son-in-law Carl and her grandparents Jack and Lily Jenkins and Buddy and Mary Mangham.
Jackie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. There will be an intimate gathering of family and friends to honor her life.
