Deborah Teel Obituary

Deborah “Debbie” Reed Teel, 71, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 19th, 2023, at HCA Houston Healthcare in Kingwood, Texas. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.

Debbie was born November 30th, 1951, in Waco, Texas, the third of four children of Charles and Bonnie Reed. She is a graduate of Louisiana Tech, and taught secondary mathematics for over 30 years, mentoring new teachers and impacting countless young lives. She was also an active member of her church as an elementary Sunday School teacher and as a member of the altar guild. In her free time, she loved going to Pilates classes, and she kept her mind sharp with crossword puzzles and word games. She also enjoyed travel. Favorite destinations included Puerto Rico and the foothills in Gruene, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Greg Teel, her two sons Eric and Aaron, her siblings Pam Shepherd and Chuck Reed, her sister-in-law Christine Teel, and her daughter-in-law Emily Harrison. Debbie was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She was so loved, and will be missed.

The funeral will be held on January 27th at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas. Viewing is from 11am to 12pm. The funeral service will begin at 12pm. Following the service, attendees are invited to lunch at Church of the Resurrection in Crosby, Texas.
