Marjorie Ann McWhirt went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2022 at the age of 92. She
passed peacefully with her daughter by her side.
Marjorie was born in Dewey, Oklahoma on January 15, 1930, the fifth of six children to
Henry and Rose Beeler. She graduated from Dewey High School in 1949, and married
the love of her life and best friend, Stanley Mason McWhirt, on January 8, 1950. They
spent 68 wonderful years together until he passed in 2018. Marjorie was a loving and
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a lifelong
housewife who loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart. She volunteered at her
children's’ Elementary School for many years and served in several positions in the
PTA. She was awarded a Texas PTA Life Membership for her service. Marjorie was an
active, faithful member of Sunset United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed serving
and volunteering. She served as a children’s Sunday School teacher and as the
coordinator of the Cheers bridge group there for many years. She also enjoyed
volunteering at the annual church garage sale. Marjorie loved being able to support her
children in all of their ventures and she never missed a game or event. She served as
team mom, den mom, and room mom. After her children were grown, Marjorie went to
work for McClelland Engineers for four years as a word processor. Following her
husband’s retirement, Stan & Marjorie traveled the world, visiting 43 Countries. They
also enjoyed playing in several bridge groups and made many wonderful friends over
the years. More than anything else, Marjorie’s family and friends were the most
important thing to her. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
 Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Rose Beeler; loving husband,
Stanley Mason McWhirt; brothers Floyd Beeler, John Beeler; and sisters Lenora Vesey
and Maxine Whiting. She is survived by her children, Rick McWhirt and spouse, Alisa,
Karen McWhirt Ediger and spouse, Lance, and Mark McWhirt; brother Jim Beeler and
wife Janice; grand-children, Kelli McWhirt and spouse, Nathaniel Johnson, Chris
McWhirt and spouse, Haley, Kyle Ediger and spouse, Lindsey Hagen, Kelsey Ediger,
Maxwell McWhirt & Matthew McWhirt; great granddaughter, Cadence McWhirt;
numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other dear family and friends.
