Not a wedding but a celebration of love
I met John on the eve of his marriage with Miriam. Spending time with him and while attending the wedding three things got my attention. First, the complicity between him and Miriam, the team who can do anything and change everything. Second, the sweetness of his love for Dylan. Third, the special bond between Dylan and Miriam, the ways John's peace and heart glow when he sees this and join them. At the moment of exchanging their vows and the commitment before themselves and to the others,it felt more like a commitment to love Dylan and to make him feel safe and a commitment of overcoming adversity. The family of both sides, the bridges built and how John made Miriam felt welcome, loved and participant of every little thing. As I got the Chance to know John's family and how they acquired a deeply love for Miriam, it felt like a love story. John was al over the place talking and making everyone feel comfortable. The stories of his life and the new stories with Miriam were magnificent. Wedding are something, but, this was a celebration, and commitment not only between the newlyweds but also among the friends and family members. The devotion of John to Miriam made us fall in love with him and see the best of him and their strength in his battles.
John, you are here in the form of Dylan and Ian. In the shape of that deep love you have for Miriam, which made me happy and secured that love is real and comes in different moments and shapes. Ian is just a prove of that love and the believe in how a little person change and will change it all: your determination is well safe in Ian and with Dylan
So glad I got the chance to meet you, hug you and shake hands. We will miss you, but, keep loving you.
May your memory becomes a blessing ,
Amaury
