Obituary for John Robert Novier

John Robert Novier
John Robert Novier, 36, passed away on May 10, 2022, in Kingwood, Texas.
A celebration of John Robert’s life will be held at 12:00pm (noon) on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Rosewood Funeral Home in New Caney, Texas.
John Robert was born in San Antonio, Texas to parents Bobbie and Mark Novier, on November 8, 1985. He graduated from Kingwood High School and later pursued his passion for cooking by attending and graduating from Del Mar Culinary School. Most recently, John Robert successfully completed an intensive cyber security certification path at Rice University and was looking forward to a new career in cyber security.
John Robert, “John John”, was a loving, gentle, and kind soul with an immense array of talents and artistic gifts as well as an adventurous spirit, but the light of his life was his beloved family consisting of his wife, Miriam, and his sons, Dylan and Ian. John Robert loved being a husband and father, and anyone observing him with Miriam and his boys could see his love was unconditional, unwavering, and his greatest source of joy. Together, he and Miriam created a home full of love, acceptance, and joy.
He had many interests, passions, and talents. John Robert was an accomplished professional chef, and in his personal life, he loved to prepare special meals for others as a gift of himself and to share his love for food. Big, festive, family meals with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were a big part of John Robert’s life and fueled his love for food and cooking. His natural musical talent was often enjoyed at the many family gatherings over the years. Whether it was classical piano, guitar, or trumpet, John Robert was able to master it and create beautiful music for those around him. Throughout his life, his love of music and artistic nature created a very special bond with his cousins Kristen, Rob, and John.
He enjoyed history, chess, video games, and was a huge Star Trek fan. He and Dylan spent countless hours together enjoying all things Star Trek and strategizing as they played their favorite video games.
Over the years, John Robert enjoyed travelling with family including trips to the mountains, beaches, and even a couple of special trips to Paris. He especially loved his time in Hawaii. The travel John Robert was exposed to from a young age by his beloved Tata Boo and Uncle Jules inspired him to dream of one day exploring the Alaskan wilderness with his sons.
John Robert was blessed with a large, loving family. He is preceded in death by Madeleine and John Novier, Robert Ward, and Gerard Baldwin. He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam, sons Dylan and Ian, parents, Bobbie and Mark Novier, in-laws Robert and Ingrid Mambru, Juan Bisono, and Mirian Suero, sister, Adelle Novier and her husband, Eric Walker, sisters and brothers in-law Pamela Mambru, Roberto Mambru, Victor Mambru, and Rafael Bisono, and grandmother, Zadie Ward Holloway. His many aunts and uncles include Brigitte and Jules McLeod, Claudine Novier, Michele and Barry Smith, Frances Baldwin, Sylvia and Frank Novier, Lisa and Steve Novier, and Christine and George Platt. Cousins include Kristen McLeod, Christina Smith, Rob Smith, Alison Pascale, John Baldwin, Paige Seabridge, Rachael Novier Marsh, Danielle Novier, Sarah Geraci, Madison Biesinger, Ryan Platt, Eric Platt, and Alex Platt.
