Wanda Juanita McFarland (McFarland)
Wanda Juanita McFarland passed away in Pasadena, Texas, on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the age of 91.
She was born on August 10, 1930, in Stephens, Arkansas, where she grew up and graduated from Stephens High School. She ultimately made her home in Pasadena, Texas, where she spent her adult years working as an Administrative Assistant.
Wanda enjoyed sewing, genealogy research and volunteering for various organizations, such as the Pasadena Pet Adoption Center. She volunteered at the Pasadena Police Crime Division for 15+ years, assisting with data entry. During those years she formed many lasting friendships and relationships. Wanda was named Outstanding Crime Prevention Citizen by the Texas Crime Prevention Association and presented with the Legendary Service Award by the Pasadena Police.
She is predeceased by her father William Earl McFarland, her mother Martha Aveann Luttrell McFarland and her brother William Edward McFarland.
She is survived by her nieces Donna Rone and Mary Beth Shetz and husband Fred and her nephew Mike McFarland and wife Karen; great nieces Ashley Schilling (Rusty), Jennifer Farmer (Jeff); Nicole Ortiz (Sam), Megan Anza (Axel); great nephew Kevin McFarland; great-great nieces and nephews Bailey Schilling, Grayson Farmer, Maclaine Farmer and Asher Anza; as well as numerous cousins.
