Click here to view all obituariesAunt Ethel made three special cakes for our wedding (Aug. 1987) The wedding cake, and then Groom's Cake(s); one cake was in the shape of Texas and the other was in the shape of Iowa. They were beautiful, but I noticed one was larger than the other. I was so touched as Aunt Ethel did not make the cakes to scale. She made Iowa bigger than Texas! I felt very welcomed into the family! She was pretty awesome in doing that! I thanked Aunt Ethel for her graciousness and kindness!
This past week, I also just made Aunt Ethel's cracker receipe with red peppers, ranch dressing, and canola oil! Hits the spot when you want something tasty and hot.
We give thanks to the Lord for the love Jesus put in Aunt Ethel's heart that she shared with her family, friends, church famlies, students, and many others.
