Condolence: My prayers & sympathy to each family member. Gay & I were best friends n school. We were like sisters. My heart was deeply touched to see 2 pics of us on the memorial video. Gay was sweet, loving, & strong. Her faith n God, her calm demeanor, & her optimistic outlook were qualities that made her special. She handled tough times so well. I dearly loved Gay Lynn & look forward to the time the Lord reunites us with all of our loved ones n heaven. May God bless you, Judy Marie (McKinney) Wilson
1 Thess. 4:13-18
Condolence: Gay was many things to many people, but to me she was “Sis” and there was none better. I always kidded her about being a “slave driver” when mom and dad put her in charge (and there is some truth in that), but in reality I know it was just a reflection of her belief system that carried her through her life - “whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability”. I know as a mom and a teacher she attempted to instill that in her kids and students. But that drive never impeded on her ability to show love and compassion to those that surrounded her. Christ shined through her, and oh how she loved her Savior! Her deepest desire was for her kids and grandkids to know the Lord as she did. And she and Dick’s love for each other, in Christ, was exhibited so well as they went through the trials that fell into their path, and they certainly had more than their share. There are so many things I could say to sing my sister’s praises, but I’ll just summarize it with this - she loved deeply.
I already miss you! Love you Sis! Give all our family a hug until I can join you again!
