Condolences

Condolence From: Mary Callahan Bilhartz
Condolence: John and I are 5 years apart in age, me being older. We had a large family and my parents assigned some to look after others on vacations, etc. I was the one that was asked to look after John, which I did so willingly. I enjoyed have the older sister role with him.
I recall too, that as a school student, John was very disciplined about studying and keeping up with his homework.
He had a lot of personal struggles from a young age and certainly didn’t have an easy life by any means, but he always said he was doing good and he did his best to keep his spirits up.
John remembered my birthday and holidays with cards or a short letter, and he was famous for sending a Colin Street fruitcake every Christmas.
We did our best to keep in touch under many trying times. He was loved and will be missed. May he rest in his well deserved peace.

Condolence: My brother John was a good and caring person. From a young age his life was difficult. He didn’t complain. He loved watching the recent NBA playoffs and contacted me asking if I was watching also. If the Houston Astros were playing, he would contact me about them as well. He enjoyed receiving photographs of my family. He loved playing his guitars and reading. He is healthy and happy now in heaven. I love and miss him.

Condolence: My brother John was a good person. we kept in touch over the years and often talked about our shared love for the guitar. John played guitar like me his whole life. we would also talk a lot about sports like basketball, football and baseball. we would exchange birthday cards gifts and Christmas cards every year. John was a thoughtful person. i will remember my brother John with good memories.

Condolence From: Walt Callahan
Condolence: John was a huge fan of the Houston Astros. I will always recall our countless conversations about the team. I will think of John every time I watch the Astros play. John had a tremendously difficult life, but is now getting his much needed rest and peace. Rest in peace, brother.
