Obituary for
Jose Inez Garcia
Jose Ines Garcia 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, July 5, 2021 in Beaumont Texas. At his bedside were his granddaughters Sukie and Samira.
From the day Jose was diagnosed with cancer he had a positive outlook on life and always had a smile. He never turned down a treatment plan, despite his long battle, Jose showed everyone he was a hero. He held onto his faith and stayed strong until the end. He always made sure to tell everyone how much he loved and appreciated them.
Jose was a hardworking man who would do anything for his family even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness. Jose was an immigrant who left Mexico with his wife, daughter and granddaughters and emigrated to the United States, in the pursuit of the American dream. Jose, who didn’t speak English at the time, struggled to adjust to his new life far from friends and family but his devotion to his beloved "lichita" as he would call her and his love for his family was the fuel that kept him going. He provided his family with a future in which they will forever be grateful. He instilled a host of values and strengths and taught his granddaughters how to be compassionate, love and accept all people for who they are not what they can give you. Success is earned not given and that if you believe in yourself anything is possible.
Jose loved to spend the weekends with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and he loved to barbecue. He never met a stranger and touched many lives with his friendly demeanor along with his braveness when he started his battle with cancer. Some would say, to anyone who had the luck to meet him. He was the kindness of souls.
He is survived by his beloved wife Maria who spent 40 wonderful years along his side. His daughter Ana, grandchildren Sukie, Samira and Andy. Great- grandchildren, JJ, Alex, Natalie, & Madelyn. His brothers Melecio, Jacinto, Erasto, Angel, Guillermo, Pablo, Macario, Margarito, and Cleto. His sisters Bertha, Margarita, Maria, Angela, Ignacia, Porfiria, Catalina, Juanita, Francisca, and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
On Angel wings you were taken away too soon, but in our hearts you will remain. You left a void in our hearts and you will be sorely missed by many. Goodbyes are not forever, and are not the end. It simply means we will miss you until we meet again.
