Bobby Laron Murray, Sr., passed peacefully in his home in the company of his family in Humble, TX at the age of 84 on May 13, 2021. Bobby is survived by his wife of 63 and a half years, Bonnie; sons Bobby, Jr., and wife Angela, Ben and wife Linda; daughter Belinda and wife Terri; grandsons Brian and wife Allison, Jarrett and fiancée Savannah; granddaughter Jessica Holloway and husband Charlie; great-grandchildren Chloé, Weston, and Lyra. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie; father, Floyd; and sisters Mary Lee Terry and Barbara Ward. Bobby was born April 24, 1937 in Dumas, AR. He graduated from Aldine High School in 1955. Bobby spent his career working for the City of Houston where he served as the assistant chief of building inspections. Bobby was an active member and deacon at First Baptist Church North Houston. After he retired in 1987, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working the farm that he and Bonnie owned in Dermott, AR. His great passion in life was to share his love of gardening with all his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
