Obituary for
Beverly Jones (Barker)
Beverly Barker Harrison Jones, 85, made her calling to the Lord on April 22, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born in Houston, Texas June 12, 1935. She was a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Pasadena High School, Class of 1954. She attended Sam Houston State University.
Beverly, also known as Granny, enjoyed cooking, ironing, going to the farm, visiting Colorado, and watching her granddaughters play softball. She was often the hit of the game with her homemade chocolate chip cookies. She loved to watch the Astros and Rockets and would often call Paul throughout the game to provide updates. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her neighbors on Garfield Street. During her working years, she was employed by Texas Employers Insurance Company and Dr. Faber McMullen.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents William Arthur and Alma Lucille Barker, and her brother Joseph J. Barker. She is survived by her son Paul Harrison and Donna Sue, and by granddaughters Emily and Haley Harrison. She loved her granddogs Cooper and Archie.
A graveside service will be held at County Line Cemetery, Willis, TX, on Wednesday, April 28th at 1:00 PM.
