My Friend Joe
My name is Rod Rodriguez and I met Joe in 2008 while working at CSC. At the time Joe was working in NJ at the US Armys Logistics Modernization Project. Once we met, we quickly developed a good working relationship and started collaborating in multiple business initiatives.
Joe took the time to coach, mentor, and help me in learning the complex, and sometimes byzantine, ways of doing business in CSC Consulting. Over time this co-worker relationship developed into a very close friendship. Over the next 10 years, we worked very close with each other, and kept in touch socially too. We shared consulting battle scars at places like the IRS, AECON, and in the later DXC Industry Lead team.
What I really liked about Joe is that you could count on him to tell you the way things were without trying to sweeten the pill. His straightforwardness was a breath of fresh air. Joe also had an extremely easygoing personality, that made it easy for people to get along with him, and for him to help and assist others. Joe also had an extremely keen sense of humor and could be counted to find the humor in some of the stressful and challenging situations that came up during work sometimes.
In summary, I will miss Joe for his sense of humor, helpfulness, truthfulness and overall, for the friendship that we shared the last 12 years. Rest in Peace Joe Caylor, we will see each other again!
