Condolence: From my first day at Entergy, it was evident that Patty was key to the collegiality of our organization. The office was imbued with her thoughtfulness and boundless kindness. She was patient, resourceful, unflappable, ever ready to help, and treated us all like family. The memories are priceless. Rome was an integral part of Patty’s office magic. Many were the occasions, after hours, that Patty and Rome “spruced up” the office, providing us all an ideal workplace. We were fortunate to have had Patty as a beloved friend and colleague. She was the best and we miss her dearly.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Rome and the entire family. I am forever grateful for having known Patty, and experiencing her heart for the Lord she loves and for people through conversation and prayer. We exchanged prayers for our respective spouses, even while she was dealing with her own health issues, including the sympathy card she mailed to me following the death of my Darlene. Patty was truly a special lady who blessed all with whom she came in contact. My prayers are now for the Lord to comfort Rome and her entire family during these difficult days, and far beyond; comfort in all of the memories of your beloved Patty, and in the assurance of her salvation. It's not goodbye forever, we'll see you on down the road, Patty. God bless and keep you, and those whom you love.

Condolence: I have known Patty for the last 20 years. We met at work and became life long family friends. It feels a bit strange writing a tribute to my dear Patty so soon. But I rest in the solace that Patty is with the Lord whom she so dearly loved and worshipped. Patty was selfless and devoted to meeting the needs of others. She was a friend to many and a mum to everyone she met. I will never forget the many baby showers she organized for us. Patty made sure the office was well decked out for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and in fact for all occasions. Patty baked me a cake with the US flag colors when I became a citizen. That’s the Patty we all will miss. But I take solace in the fact that Patty is with the Lord and has became one of our Guardian Angels doing what she does best. Being a mother of all. So long Patty, till we meet again.

Condolence: Patty touched everyone that she met through her kindness, caring spirit, willingness to help others and her big heart. She loved her family (especially her grandchildren), her work family, friends, church members and even the people she didn't know through her charity work. We will miss you dear friend. Rome, thank you for taking such good care of her all these years. She was blessed to have you as her husband. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Condolence: I was lucky enough to have an office just a few feet from Patty's desk. So I had the privilege of seeing her warm smile and hearing her laughter everyday. A funny thing that I recall about Patty was that whenever she occasionally sneezed, it was always in pairs. So I quickly learned to wait til the 2nd sneeze before saying, "God bless you." I'll always remember Patty as the "office Mom" who kept everything on our floor running smoothly. She gave 110% everyday and always seemed happy to help. I know the entire Entergy Tax family misses her daily.

Condolence: Finding the right words are difficult during this time..Patty was the kindest, sweetest, caring and most loving friend anyone could ask for. Even though I worked at the New Orleans office, Patty and I spoke daily. She could cheer you up in a heartbeat, make you laugh when you really needed it and was always there for everyone. Her laugh was contagious, her smile was welcoming and she made you feel like family. That is what we all loved about Patty. She will forever be in our hearts and in our prayers. She is no longer suffering from this unforgiving disease, ALS. God needed an angel and called Patty home. Sending virtual hugs and prayers to Rome, Jessica and her extended family.

Condolence: Words seem like such an insufficient vessel to express the heartache we feel knowing that Patty has been called home. We will miss her contagious laugh, her big heart, her helping hands, and her always encouraging words. Thank you Rome and family for sharing such a special, special lady with us. Rest in peace, dear Patty.

Condolence: Patty was so warm, kind and sweet. She enjoyed all cute and beautiful things in life and always watched out for others around her. She took great care of me when I first joined Entergy 7 years ago and helped make the office like home to me. Patty, goodbye, I'll forever miss you!

Condolence: The very first time I met Patty she was touchingly kind to me (and others) during my own moment of need. When Patty started working for Joe shortly after Hurricane Katrina, I was working in The Woodlands and having a very hard time trying to tend to my flooded home back in Louisiana. Joe asked Patty to order me a Blackberry to make it easier for me to work remotely. Patty not only did that, but she went beyond her job description and took the time to sit with me and patiently explain how to set up the Blackberry with Entergy email and how to use it for email, calls and messaging. Patty also made it a point to check in with me regularly during my 9 months working in The Woodlands to see if there was anything else she could do to help me professionally and personally. That meant a lot to me and forever endeared me to Patty. My condolences, blessings and hopes for peace to Rome and the entire Hickey extended family.

Condolence: Patty was a very special lady. In Jan. 2008 she accepted my son into her family and always treated him as one of her own. For that I will be eternally grateful. We shared 3 grandsons and she was a wonderful Grandmama. Now they have an angel to watch over them. Rest in Peace Patty. You will never be forgotten.
