Obituary for Dianne DeGeorge Kirsch

Our beloved matriarch, Dianne DeGeorge Kirsch, entered peacefully into Eternal rest, on January 20, 2021. She is joyfully united again with her youngest child, Kendra. Dianne was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 6, 1942, to parents Nicholas and Eunice DeGeorge.

Dianne is survived by her husband Eugene L. Kirsch; daughter Kristine Madden and husband Berry; grandchildren Christopher, Courtney and husband Chance, Brandon; great granddaughter Madden; daughter Kim Martinez and husband Gerry; grandchildren Daniel and wife Katherine, Megan, Ashley; great grandson Patrick; son Gene; granddaughters Nicole, Katherine, Kimberly; son Kenneth and wife Julie; grandchildren Taylor, Kirby, Nicholas, Rylie Kendra; sister Sandra Sacks and husband Phil; brother Darryl DeGeorge and wife Rosalind.
Dianne is survived by many Kirsch and DeGeorge nieces and nephews in New Orleans and Houston. Dianne is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Kendra Ann Kirsch; daughter-in- law Krissy Kirsch; and grandson André Kirsch.

Dianne grew up in New Orleans and was graduated from St. Joseph Academy. At the young age of 14, she met the love of her life, Eugene L. Kirsch. They married and raised their five children in Houston. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 7, 2021. Dianne served as an officer in the Human Resource department of various banks where she was a leader and mentor to many colleagues.

Dianne was the notorious DeeDee to 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. It was the joy of her life to witness and be involved in the numerous birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings, Catholic sacraments, ball games, recitals, school projects, and much more. Her grandchildren could always count on their DeeDee to have a hot meal and words of wisdom when they arrived at her house.

Dianne opened her heart and touched the lives of all that crossed her path. Her life was defined by her strong faith in God, her love and devotion for family, her strong work ethic, and her unwavering generosity and service to her loved ones.

Dianne’s family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, January 28th from 5 PM to 8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, 2602 South Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77396. A Mass celebrating her extraordinary life will be held on Friday, January 29th at 10:30 AM at St. Martha Catholic Church in Kingwood, 4301 Woodridge Pkwy, Porter, TX 77365. Interment will be held at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble following Mass. Due to COVID-19, both visitation and Mass will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend.
