Robert “Bob” Thomas Vosburg, age 70, passed away on January 16, 2021 of cancer. He was born on April 18, 1950 to Reginald Payne Vosburg and June Oney Vosburg in Lorton, Virginia. He was an active member of the Salvation Army Church and played trumpet in the band with his brothers and sisters. After graduating from Mount Vernon High School he married his best friend and wife of 47 years, Jody.

Bob and Jody moved to Texas where they raised their three children Lisa, Amy and Robbie. He was a dedicated father as well as as a grandfather to Lauryn, Kayla, Kyndal, Nolan, and Kynzie. He treasured his kids and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.

Bob was an active member of the community. Many referred to him as Coach Bob as he mentored and coached numerous kids in the community. He could often be seen at the local auction, shopping at Home Depot or making new friends over coffee at Denny’s. Bob was known for his infectious personality and dimpled smile. He always lit up the room and made everyone around him laugh.

Bob was preceded in death by his brother Reggie, father Reginald, mother June and sister Janice. He is survived by his wife Jody, daughter Lisa Galloway and husband Dave, daughter Amy Wallace and husband Bobby, son Robbie Vosburg and wife Torie, his five grandchildren Lauryn Galloway, Kayla Vosburg, Kyndal Wallace, Nolan Vosburg, and Kynzie Wallace, sisters June Vosburg, Mary Beatyy, Brenda Corbett, Shirley Mcdaniel, Sandy Torquato, and Bonnie Cornett, brother David Vosburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home, 22271 US-59, New Caney, TX on Saturday, January 23, 2021 beginning at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the New Caney High School Eagles Friends. Bob had a huge heart for kids. Eagle Friends provides opportunities and experiences for young people with special needs to socialize and make friends with their nondisabled peers.
