On Friday, December 27, 2020, Adelfa Muñoz, loving mother of seven children, passed away at the age of 94. Adelfa was born on April 22, 1926 in Garceño, TX to Roman and Sylveria(Quintanilla) Martinez. . In 1945 she married Alberico Muñoz. They raised four daughters and three sons, along with a niece and grandson.

Adelfa was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Alberico Muñoz on May 30, 1973; one daughter, Rosa Muñoz Mata; two sons, Roberto Muñoz, and Alberto Muñoz; grandsons; granddaughter; and a great grandson.

She was the matriarch of five generations. She was always quiet and reserved. She enjoyed family gatherings festive events, her foods of specific choice and her beer. She refused to use a cane as she would say that’s for old ladies (viejitas). She always asked for every child, grandchildren and great grandchildren by name. She always remained of sound mind and body.

Adelfa is survived by one son and one daughter-in-law, Romeo and Teresa Muñoz; three daughters and three son-in-laws, Juanita Muñoz wife of Bernabe Muñoz, Elva Alaniz wife of Emilio Alaniz, Gloria Gonzalez wife of Roberto Gonzalez; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020, at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena Texas. Continued service and burial will be the following day in the Roma Texas .
