Barbara was born in Humble, TX to Everett and Bertha Cunningham. She was the sixth child of seven children. Barbara attended Humble I.S.D and graduated from Charles Bender High School in 1952. She and her husband Ben raised two children, Veree and Steven. Later Barbara went to work for Humble Transportation Department where she retired. After retirement she moved to Tomball, TX to be near her family. She loved a good cup of coffee and spending time with family and friends.
