Darwin Buford Barnes
Darwin Buford Barnes was born on October 14, 1952, in Miami, Florida to Buford and Reba Barnes. He left his earthly home in Pasadena, Texas, on November 4, 2020.
Darwin received his BBA from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and his J.D. from the University of Houston School of Law. He was the General Counsel for Mahindra USA.
He loved spending time with his family and his grandkids. In his spare time he was quite an active man, enjoying sailing, hiking, motorcycling, hunting, traveling, reading, and camping. He was especially pleased to have earned his Captain’s license for a Master 50 Ton.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Barnes; his sister Regina Barnes; and his children and grandchildren: Bradley Barnes, his wife Jennifer and their children Alyssa and Daniel; Wesley Barnes, his wife Sara and their son Colton; and Maria Heaton and daughter Audrey; and numerous extended family members.
He is predeceased in death by his parents Buford Barnes and Reba Rawlinson Barnes and his brother Brent Barnes.
The family will receive family and friends at a visitation on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 2:30 to 5:00 pm at the Pasadena Rosewood Funeral Home just off of Beltway 8 on Red Bluff. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Parkgate Community Church, 3715 Preston Road, Pasadena, Texas 77505, followed by a graveside service and interment at 2:00 pm at Pool’s Cemetery, 24380 FM 149, Richards, Texas 77873. The cemetery is across from Union Grove Baptist Church.
