Trudy Margarite (Plahn) Lancial
Born December 26, 1928 – October 11, 2020
Trudy was born in Boone County, Iowa and was raised on a farm. She moved to Des Moines as a young adult and worked in insurance. Soon after, she met Gene Lancial they married. There they lived, worked in their family owned business and raised their family for nearly 50 years with many years of traveling the world, before moving to Texas in 2001.
We all will remember Trudy as a fun loving person, could always make the best out of a difficult situation with a great sense of humor. Everyone who met Trudy knew just how funny she could be and then have a great story to tell. She always told everyone, although she was an only child, how incredible it was that she had such a big family now. She will be missed and loved forever by her family and friends
Her motto was “Laughter is the Best Medicine”.

Her parents Hans Frederick and Dorothea Plahn of Germany, brother Alfred and her husband Gene Lancial.
Survived By:
Her 4 children; Linda Lancial VanOort of Humble, TX. Mike Lancial (Lori) of St. Louis Park, MN, Cathy Lancial Hegal of Kingwood TX, Kimberly Lancial (George Vafakos) of Queens, NY. Nine grandchildren, Mike, Kary, Karen, Sarah, Natalie, Austin, Cortnie, Hilarie, Vasilios and
ten great-grandchildren.
