Robert Lee Burr
Wiley, me, and 14 others started work at Shell on December 13, 1976. He was the youngest in our class at 18 years of age. A lot of our class went to the Hydro Processing Department where I worked with Wiley on the same shift for many years. Wiley was set up as a Shift Foreman after the strike in 1980. Special permission from Shell Headquarters downtown in Houston had to be given to set Wiley up as Staff because, he was so young. Wiley proved to be a great Foreman and a leader. Wiley always had a smile and was a very pleasant person to be around. I was very saddened to hear of his accident and passing. Shell lost a very dedicated employee. I lost a very good friend. May God be with Wiley, his family, and his many friends.
